The USD 261 Board of Education is pleased to announce Gillian Macias has been selected as the next Superintendent of Haysville Public Schools.
The search process included stakeholder input, application review, and interviews. Throughout the search, the Board focused on identifying a leader who is deeply committed to students, staff, and will partner with families and the community to strengthen our district.
Mrs. Macias brings strong experience, a student-centered approach, and a commitment to collaboration that aligns with the priorities shared in our school community.
“I've had the honor and privilege to be in Haysville for the past four years and get to know all of our stakeholders, our students, our families, and our staff members," said Macias. "I'm beyond honored and humbled to be able to take this opportunity. I have big shoes to fill, but I'm very excited about the chance to continue moving this district forward in the positive direction it has been going, and I look forward to working with everyone in the Haysville community to do the best for kids and make this a place that all students and staff want to be.”
Mrs. Macias will begin this leadership role on July 1, 2026, as Mr. Jeff Hersh transitions into retirement.
